kinda good kinda bad

I asked Isaac what he thinks of this loose tooth and he said, "kinda good kinda bad". So I take that as a step up from the crying. I think he is beginning to like the idea of a loose tooth. Yeah for all of us.

Isaac and the tooth

We went to the pool today and met some of Isaac's friends there. One of the friend's mom gave Isaac a chewy granola bar. When we got home Isaac was complaining that his tooth hurt from the bar so when I went in for a closer look I noticed that his tooth was in fact loose. Isaac is losing his first tooth! I was so excited....but Isaac was not. He proceeded to cry for about and HOUR. He kept looking in the mirror and crying. The he kept saying he just wanted to go to bed,

"I just want to go to bed!"
"I am never going to get to play with daddy, cuz I am just gonna go to bed every night because my tooth hurts! "

wah wah wah! he is such a cry baby. Sorry I know moms are not suppose to say those things about their kids but come on, he should be excited! But instead he just cried and cried and cried.

I told my mom about it and she told me that my brother Mario used to be the same way about losing his teeth. I think that is so funny, big bad SWAT guy used to cry at losing teeth. Who would have ever guessed.

Glasses and a missing tooth... or two

Olive just got her new specs and just in time for her seventh month birthday. Check out her new look!

And I have been meaning to post this picture of Sadie. Sadie has officially lost her first tooth! So exciting! And... I just talked to my mom today and she informed me that Sadie lost a second tooth today at school. oh how Sadie is maturing. Here is a picture of Sadie's missing tooth and hopefully I will have a picture of her double missing teeth.

Olive's new trick & soon new accessory

Olive can sit up! I can' t believe how big my little one is getting and not to mention how cute! Here she is sittin' like a pro.

I took Olive to the eye doctor the other week and learned that my little one is farsighted and it is causing her eyes to drift in so in order to keep her from going cross-eyed she is going to need glasses for about two years. We are going to get her prescription filled on Wednesday and I will be sure to post a picture.

I was very curious as to what infant glasses would look like so I did some research and this is what Olive might be sporting

A is for axe

Isaac is enjoying kindergarten very much, so much in fact that he feels totally comfortable turning in this wonderful piece of work.

The first week of school and this is what he is doing! Yikes! I can only imagine what his teacher is thinking about his parents! How embarrassing. Yes "that" kid is mine.

P.S. please feel free to click on the image to view it in it's totality, teacher comment and all.

First Day of School

Today was Isaac's first day of school! So exciting! We live so close to the school that we are able to walk and boy did I sweat my butt off this morning!

There are two start times and Isaac goes to the the later one, he starts at 11:11, so weird. Well I don't feel like they explained enough to the parents how to go about dropping off and picking up and exact start times. Let's just say it was total craziness.

As we got to school the early morning kindergarten was just getting out so it was so crazy we couldn't get to Isaac's classroom because I had to maneuver the stroller around. By the time we did get there he was the last to hang up his back pack and I missed a great photo op of the kids in line waving good-bye. I was way on time and if someone would have told me that the other gate to the kindergarten rooms was open I would have had him there on time. Well, he got there fine and no one noticed. Also I talk to a teacher on the orientation night and she said he started at 11:18, then I got a paper in the mail the next day that said he started at 11:11 and then when I asked another mom when I got there today she said they started at 11:30! I am not feeling like the communication here is so good..... So, if you are interested the start time is 11:11, Yup that time of day you are suppose to make a wish! I think that is a good sign.

Right now I am at home enjoying my quite time with just one sleeping baby and my computer.......I take that back.... my sleeping baby just woke up:( Well, I am just hoping that I will be having more of those moments and mommy and Isaac will both be liking this new school thing.

Now I am just waiting to go and pick him up at 2:34 (yes, not 2:30 or 2:35, 2:34!) and ask him a whole lot of questions about his first day of 12+ years of school! I am so anxious! I hope he is having a great time. So until then here are a few pictures I took this morning.

and the "no more pictures" face

oh and P.S. I forgot to mention, I was peeking through the window like all of the other parents and Isaac was circling the room looking for his seat so after a while I went in to help him and when I told him to give me a kiss good-bye he pushed me away and gave me the "MOM" face. So i said, "OK, how about a hug?" and he gave me a hug. My big 5yr old embarrassed to get a kiss from his mom in kindergarten. never thought that day would come so soon!
